James “Jim” J. Welchert, age 67 of Fort Calhoun, died Dec. 11, 2021, in Omaha.

He was born March 13, 1954, in Omaha. He was preceded in death by parents, Robert D. Sr. and Donna Jean Welchert, brothers, Rick, Robert D. Jr. and infant brother Timothy.

Welchert is survived by son, James W. Welchert and daughter, Salley Welchert, both of Omaha, 3 sisters, 11 brothers, grandson, Jesse Welchert, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral service. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. There will be a private internment.

Memorials are suggested to the James J. Welchert family.
