Bette Jane Cole, age 78 of Blair, entered eternal rest December 14, 2021 at Good Shepherd in Blair.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday December 17, at 10:30AM at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church. Graveside services will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to services, at the church.

Bette was born December 5, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of James and Betty Petorella. Bette’s father James died in World War II. Bette’s mother Betty later remarried James Mackenzie and the family moved to Hawthorne, California. Bette attended and graduated from Hawthorne High School, where she met Monte Cole. In October of 1979 the couple moved to Osmond, Nebraska and later moved to Blair in 1990. Bette will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and wife.

She is survived by her husband Monte, daughters; Caseina (Mick) Mixan and Cora Evans, grandaughers; Mackenzie Evans and Monica Mixan, and her sister Gayle Alton.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Petorella, James and Betty Mackenzie, daughter Monica Cole and brother Jon Mackenzie.
