Roger H. Meierhenry, age 82, of Fremont, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at home.

Roger was born March 18, 1939 in Blair, Nebraska to Howard and Opal 'Hansen' Meierhenry. He was raised on a farm near Telbasta and graduated from Arlington High School in 1957. After high school, while serving in the Air National Guard, he worked at Western Electric in Omaha. He then worked for Valmont for almost 40 years. Part of this time he lived in Winslow and was a member of the Winslow Volunteer Fire Department and served as Chief. After retiring from Valmont he worked part time for the City of Fremont in the Parks and Recreation Department. Currently, he was working for the Fremont Public Schools Transportation Department as a bus aid.

Roger married Karen McManigal in 1965, they later divorced. He married Lynda Schneider in 1989 and she passed away in 2014. Roger was a member of the Fremont Presbyterian Church and the Fremont Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #200.

Daughter - Brenda (Mike) Kincanon of Fremont
Son - Brad Meierhenry of Overland Park, Kansas
Grandchildren - Abby Wharff of Fremont and her son Easton
Ellen Kincanon of Fremont and her children Reece and Jackson
Ex-wife - Karen Larson of Fremont

Roger was preceded in death by his wife Lynda, parents, Howard and Opal, and brother Dale.

There is no viewing but the family will receive friends at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 5pm to 7pm. The memorial service will be Thursday, December 16, 2pm, at the Fremont Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
