Timothy Harris, age 61 of Blair, passed away Dec. 30, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday Jan. 5, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held Tuesday Jan. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m.

Timothy Harris was born Feb. 14,1960 to Voyne and Mable Harris of Blair.

He graduated from Blair High School and attended The University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

As a Master Plumber, Tim serviced many residents and businesses in Blair.

During his youth, Tim achieved the Eagle Scout Award and served as an altar boy at St Francis Borgia.

He spent special time on the golf course with his dad and his teammates on the Blair Golf Team.

An avid fisherman and hunter, Tim enjoyed many vacations with family and friends. He and his brother Dick hosted fishing tournaments which provided a bounty of happy memories that he loved to recall.

His participation in helping build the Little League field in Blair was one of his favorite projects.

With a quick wit and ready first joke, all the children gravitated towards Tim, their favorite uncle.

Tim moved to Colorado in 1998 where he continued his career in plumbing for 23 years. He loved Colorado but Blair was always home.

In October of 2021, Tim chose to move back to Blair where he looked forward to spending semi-retirement with family and friends.

Tim’s parents preceded him in death. Survivors include a sister, Dixie and husband Morry Hansen, brother Richard and wife Carol Harris, and sister Connie and husband Wayne LaBoube. 12 nieces and nephews, 21 grandnieces and grandnephews, a beloved Aunt, cousins and friends.

ACCIDENT LAST THURSDAY CLAIMS LIFE OF BLAIR MAN

An accident late last week at 204th and Bennington Drive claimed the life of a Washington County man.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s office says 61 year old Timothy Harris failed to stop for a stop sign and struck an SUV. The impact caused the vehicle Harris was driving to roll into a field. Both Harris and some of the passengers in the SUV were taken to the hospital.

Harris succumbed to his injuries; the others involved were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Funeral arrangements for Harris, of Blair, include visitation this evening from 5 to 7 at Campbell Aman, and the funeral Wednesday, 10:30 at Saint Francis Borgia.

#3 DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. (WOWT) - The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Monday identified the man killed when a green sedan T-boned an SUV on Thursday.

Timothy Harris of Washington County was killed after witnesses said he ran a stop sign on Bennington Road at 204th Street, causing his vehicle to crash with an SUV driven by a Douglas County woman and roll into a field, according to the news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

Juvenile passengers in the SUV had to be extricated before they and the driver of that vehicle were transported to the same hospital. The crash remains under investigation.--WOWTV

Harris was transported to CHI-Bergan Mercy, where he was pronounced dead, the release states.
