Eldon "Al" Gnuse, 73, was born January 24, 1948, to parents, Edward and Meta (Scheer) Gnuse, and passed away October 10, 2021, in Lincoln, NE.

Al was raised in Arlington, NE, with his 3 brothers. He graduated from Arlington High School, and then attended Nebraska Technical College in Milford, NE. After college, he married Gloria Jean Eby on May 23, 1970. They moved to Broomfield, CO, where they lived for 20 years. They had 3 children and then moved back to Nebraska. During this time, Al served in the National Guard. Gloria and Al remained married until her passing in 2011. Al married Carole December 29, 2013. Al always loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, camping, golfing, and watching the grandkid's many activities.

He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Donald Gnuse and Robert Gnuse; wife, Gloria Jean (Eby) Gnuse; son, Troy Allen Gnuse.

Al is survived by wife, Carole; sons, Todd (Katie) Gnuse, of Shickley, NE, and Andy (Colleen) Eby, of Lincoln, NE; daughters, Tiffany (TJ) Busch, of David City, NE, and Sara (Nick) Torgusson, of Woodbury, MN; grandchildren, Carter Gnuse, Denver Gnuse, Audrey Gnuse, of Shickley, NE, Skylar Busch, Sidnee Busch, Keaton Busch, of David City, NE, Sadie Torgusson, Ella Torgusson, and Sophie Torgusson, of Woodbury, MN, and Trista Rea, Lily Eby, Makenzee Eby, and Ella Eby, of Lincoln, NE; brother, Gene (Clarice) Gnuse, of Bella Vista, AR; sisters-in-law, Gayleen (Roger) Potter, of Lincoln, NE, Lois Gnuse, of Blair, NE, and Ruth Gnuse, of Arlington, NE; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 10:00am, at Southwood Lutheran Church. 4301 Wilderness Hills Blvd, Lincoln, NE. Face coverings are required. Interment will follow, with full military honors, at the Ashland Cemetery in Ashland, NE at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Southward Lutheran Church for local community mission projects

Interment: Thursday, October 14, 2021, 1 p.m. Ashland Cemetery, Ashland, NE. Full Military Honors
