MRS. SAMLAND PASSES SUNDAY

BURIAL AT BLAIR, NEBRASKA

This community was shocked Monday, to learn of the death of Mrs. Fred Samland, who passed away late Sunday night after a short illness following the birth of a child.

Mr. and Mrs. Samland had been married but a year and it is with regret we report the termination of this happy union.

Miss Dorothy Claycomb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Claycomb, was born at Florence, Nebraska July 26th, 1909, and passed from this life to her reward on Sunday, July 20th, 1930, at the age of twenty years, eleven months and twenty-four days, after spending her entire life in and near Florence.

About one year ago Miss Claycomb was united in marriage to Mr. Fred Samland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Samland, with whom they have made their home on a farm just north of Florence, since their marriage.

A child was born to this happy couple on Sunday, July 13, who preceded its mother in death.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, July 23, from the Crosby Mortuary, with Rev. B. O. Lyle in charge. The baby in the arms of its mother, were both laid to rest in the cemetery at Blair, Nebraska, where Rev. C. G. Bader officiated.

This newspaper joins with a host of friends in extending sympathy to the husband, mother and father and other relatives, in the loss of their beloved wife and daughter.
