Stueckrath, Dona Rene (Epke)

Dona Rene (Epke) Stueckrath was born October 27, 1935 in Plainview, Nebraska. She was the second of four girls born to Bertha and August Epke, Jr. and grew up on the family farm just outside of town. Dona met Roger, the love of her life, while attending high school in Plainview. They married in 1955 and spent over 65 years together. They had four children while living in Norfolk, Lincoln and Omaha, and met many great friends along the way. They enjoyed spending time with all of their extended family and attending their grandchildren's various events.

Dona was a great listener, soft-spoken and as many have said, the nicest person you would ever know. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roger, and their son Todd. She leaves behind three children and seven grandchildren, Terry and Lori Stueckrath, Kristi and Todd Johnson, Kari and Paul Nelson, Dillon, Hunter, Hallie, Emily, Claire, Emma and Gretchen.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30am Saturday, January 22nd, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Millard, with a burial immediately following. Memorials can be sent to Literacy For All, Omaha.
