John W. Conway Jr., 65

John. W. Conway Jr., age 65, of Blair, died Jan. 1, 2022. John was born Nov. 29, 1956, in Omaha.

Preceded in death by: maternal and paternal grandparents, parents, John W. Sr. and Bonnie (Guy) Conway, granddaughter, Ashley Conway, uncles and aunts.

Survived by: wife, Char Conway of Blair, daughters, Crystal Conway, Amy Conway of Omaha, Bridget (Jake) Thompson of Lincoln, four step-children, half-sister, Patricia Nielsen of Blair, grandchildren, Shelby, Alex, Declan, Mikaela (Zak), Aryana and Brooklyn, great-grandchild, Easton, niece, Robin (Tim) Tierney and nephew, Randy Hardy.

John was a man of many talents. He was a finish carpenter by trade, building homes and construction in Omaha. He could fix anything and everything. He enjoyed music and wrote his own music over the years. He loved people and entertaining and bar-b-ques. He was a fabulous cook, creating his own recipes and especially baking pies! In the latter years he enjoyed creating unique canes out of Char’s curly willow tree.

Special thanks to Dr. Jason Dinsmoor, Methodist Hospital of Fremont, and Kindred Hospice. John gave his body to science so others may benefit from research. Memorials can be directed to The John Conway Family to be designated later.

Visitation and Celebration of Life from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, with Celebration of Life service at 5 p.m., all at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home. Inurnment at a later date.
