Child of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Metzler DEAD

Our good, jolly friend, Charlie Metzler and family, were called upon to mourn the loss of their infant child, which crossed the sea of eternity last Wednesday evening. This was a sad occurrence and the family has the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement. It seems hard to have taken away from us our beloved ones, yet this is as the God above ordained it, and being inferior beings, we must bear it with patience and console ourselves with the thought that it was all for the best and that “whatever is, is right.”

Mr. Metzler was in town the evening before the death of his beloved baby and spoke to Dr. Conant regarding the baby’s condition, but did not anticipate any serious trouble, and scarcely had he gotten home when the child breathed its last. The cause of the sudden death was cholera infantum.
