Lawrence "Scotty" Scott, age 84 of Blair, passed away February 9, 2022, at his home in Blair. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 10 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery.

Scotty was born on August 31, 1937 in Coon Rapids, Iowa, the son of Lawrence LeRoy and Maybelle Euteve Scott. He was raised primarily in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska. In February of 1956, he married Berniece Guy, and the couple had four children. Lawrence and Berniece were later divorced. On April 16, 1983, Scotty married Mary Genoways and the couple made their home in Blair. Scotty worked for many years in the trucking and transportation industry. He played on, coached, and sponsored many softball teams over the years. Scotty loved all his family; his grandchildren were the true light of his life. He loved his social time with his friends at coffee every morning.

He is survived by his wife Mary; children: Clinton (Eva) Scott, Mike (Deb) Scott, Rick (Connie) Scott and Brenda (John) Christoffersen; grandchildren: Jennifer (Jay) Bryce, Mona (Ramsey) Dababneh, Heather (Aaron) Kelberlau, Raymond Scott, Jill (Matt) Ryan, Jesse Nownes, Tony Scott, Steven (Megan) Scott, Daniel Scott, Colton Christoffersen, Cailyn (Brett) Shald; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister Sharen Haynes; brothers: Joseph (Connie) Scott, Cecil (Elsie) Scott, Gregory (Nancy) Scott, Rex Scott; brothers-in-law David Genoways, Douglas Genoways; sisters-in-law Cathy Genoways, Phoebe Zeigler; niece Izabella Genoways, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Jimmy, Bob, Jake and Carl; sisters: Lilly Mae Lund, Sandra Kay Weidt, Linda Sue Metzler.
