DIED

STEWART- On Wednesday morning, Nov. 29, 1893, about 3 o’clock, of meningitis, Melda A., wife of Grant Stewart of this city, after an illness of about ten days.

Mrs. Stewart was born in this county, Sept. 2, 1866, being only 27 years, 2 months and 27 days of age at the time of her death and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pilcher of Cuming City.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Grant Stewart, January 13, 1886, and leaves four sons, the oldest about seven years and the youngest, a babe, about 3 months old.

Mrs. Stewart united with the Baptist church of this city a few years ago, and during that time has been a consistent member. She was conscious most of the time during her illness and expressed herself as being prepared and ready to leave this world and be with Christ, which is far better.

The funeral services will be held at the residence on Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
