Leslie "Gene" LeCrone, 72 years, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at his home.

He was born November 5, 1944 to Leslie and Nadine(Morgan) LeCrone in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

He served in the U.S. Army June 8, 1964 to June 7, 1970.

He married Mary Larsen on August 29, 1986.

Leslie lived most of his life in Fremont, he enjoyed playing pool and was an avid Nebraska Husker fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Joyce LeCrone; cat, Pooty Tat. He is survived by sons, David LeCrone ( Fiancé Mandi Beaver) of Fremont, NE, Matt LeCrone of Lincoln, NE; brothers, Robert LeCrone of Fremont, NE; Chuck ( Barb) LeCrone of Fremont, NE; Michael (Soaky) LeCrone of Tucson, Az, Jerry ( Bernie) LeCrone of Rochester, MN; Ex-wife Mary Kuhl of Fremont, NE; 2 grandchildren; Cadence Elizabeth LeCrone and Paisley Amelia Le Crone of Fremont.

Memorial service will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 5, 2016 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, NE. The Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate. Military Honors will be presented by American Legion Post 20 and VFW Post 854 of Fremont, NE. Memorials may be directed to the family. Moser Memorial Chapel, 2170 N.
