19 Jan., 1893 - The Pilot - Samuel Davidson

Died. Mr. Samuel Davidson, on Saturday, Jan. 14th, after four weeks’ sickness. Mr. Davidson was born May 28, 1833 in Newark, Licken county Ohio. He was married to Miss Rachel Lehue May 20, 1862. She only lived a little over one year and died Sept. 12th, 1863. After her death he moved to Omaha, Nebr. in the year 1864 where he resided until 1867 when he took a homestead about 2 1/2 miles south of Kennard. Three years ago he rented his farm and moved to Kennard. Mr. Davidson was liked by everybody that knew him. He united with the Christian church 38 years ago and has lived a conscientious Christian life ever since. The funeral service was held at the Christian church, Rev. Allen officiating and the remains were taken to Blair for burial.
