The funeral of Ira VanArsdale whose body was brought in last Thursday from the west by his wife was conducted Friday afternoon in the Baptist church and Rev Sheppard preached the funeral sermon. His remains were interred in the Rose Hill cemetery about seven miles west of Blair. Owing to the heavy rains that afternoon, not as many were in attendance at the funeral as otherwise would have been.
