Mrs. Louisa Schurig died last Saturday at her home in Blair at the advanced age of eighty years. Mrs. Schurig is a native of Germany, born at Essen, Rheineland, August 11, 1815, having come to this country in 1851 and settled in Blair with her husband about 1871 or 1872. Soon after her husband’s death in 1884 she closed out the confectionary business and has since that time lived quietly in her home on Grant street. The funeral occurred Sunday from the house, Rev. Perkins officiating, and it was largely attended by sorrowing friends. Mrs. Schurig was very comfortably fixed and leaves considerable property.
