LIKENS - At Trafton, Snohomish county, Washington, on Feb. 11th, 1892, Mrs. Mary A. Likens, aged 59 years.

Mrs. Likens was the eldest daughter of the late Stephen and Sarah Ann Hester and her first husband was the late Thomas A. Dennis of this county. She lived here several years in the early 80’s and was quite well known to many citizens. She also has several relatives till living here. She came to Blair in March, 1891, to look up reports as to the Dennis estate, which were current at that time, and through exposure on the trip took cold which settled into the grippe, from which she never recovered. This developed later into lung fever and still later into spasmodic asthma.
