KENNARD, March 8, 1892

MR. EDITOR - It is with emotion and sympathy that I write these items.

Died - Mrs. Mary S. French of pneumonia, March 5th, 1892. The deceased was born March 24, 1816 in Wyoming county, Michigan. Her maiden name was Mary S. Bradley. She was married to Henry G. French Oct. 20th, 1833. She moved with her husband to Pennsylvania and lived there eight years and then removed to Michigan and lived there until twenty years ago she moved with her husband and family to Washington Co. and located near Kennard where she remained until her death. Mrs. French joined the Baptist church at the age of 16 years and lived a consistent Christian life ever since. She leaves 7 children to mourn her loss and a host of warm ad sympathetic friends and neighbors. Rev. John Power officiated at the obsequies and preached an able sermon from 1 Cor. 15 chapter. The remains were buried at the Morley cemetery on Monday, March 7th.
