KENNARD, March 15, 1892

MR. EDITOR: Again we are called upon to pay the last respects to Mr. Benjamin Marshall, whose death occurred March 12th, 1892. The deceased was born in Weatherfield, Ohio, May 22nd, 1812, and was married to Miss Elizabeth Robb in 1839. In 1848 moved to Western Ohio where he resided until 1882 when he moved with his family near Kennard, Nebr., where he resided at the time of his death. The funeral was held at the house on Monday, March 14, Rev. A. J. Young officiating. Mr. Marshall was respected by all who knew him. He was a Christian man, always doing as he would have others do unto him. He said on last Wednesday when viewing the last remains of his wife that it would not be long before he would follow her. She died on Monday, and he died on Saturday. Thus after 53 years of married life they have passed to a higher and nobler life beyond this veil of tears. The entire community extends its sympathy to the bereaved friends.
