SUICIDE

On Monday evening a man named Anton Jureuka, a Bohemian aged about 30 years, deliberately committed suicide at the Sherman House in this city. He had been here but a few days and was engaged in selling some patent medicine. On Monday afternoon he purchased at Kemp’s drug store 15 grains of morphine, and taking it in his room at the Sherman House, was found dead later in the evening. He has been married, but his wife procured a divorce and is married to another, and his home for some years has been at Papillion. He left nothing of value, and was buried at the county’s expense.
