Lyla Mae Shamburg, 88, of Lincoln, died Feb. 16, 2022. Lyla was born May 11, 1933, to Ivan & Ella (Nielsen) Hovendick in Herman. Lyla was a retired Tupperware manager.

Survivors include her son, James; granddaughter, Julie (Josh) Greenwood; great-grandchildren, Autumn (Ryan) Crable, Britny (Lindsey) Willis, Aiden and Zaylie Grant; great-great-grandchildren, Mikaela and Mary Crable; sisters Beverly (Larry) Goldsberry and Sharlene Moore; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth (Pat) and James (Dick) Swingholm; her parents; sister, Joyce Hovendick; brother-in-law, Ron Moore; niece, Mary Jo Hovendick and brother, Ivan Jr. Hovendick.

Viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. (family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m.) Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022 at Butherus, Maser and Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln 68510. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Pastor Mark Ebert will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Aging Partners - Personal & Family Services or Redeemer Lutheran Church.
