Mrs. James Allan Dies at Her Home in Omaha

Mrs. James Allan, wife of James Allan, died at her home, 2222 Burt Street. She had been ill for more than a year. An operation sometime ago is believed to have aggravated her sickness.

Mrs. Allan was an old resident of Omaha, having lived there since May 9, 1863. She was born in Stark county, Illinois, January 28, 1858, and was married to Mr. Allan January 19, 1882, at Kennard, Neb. Five children, one daughter and four sons, were born to them, all of whom died in infancy. She, with her husband, united with the Second Presbyterian church, Omaha, in 1890, and she was an active and faithful member.

During her long illness of eighteen months of intense suffering at times, she was cheerful and patient. She leaves to mourn her death, besides her husband, an aged mother, Mrs. Parker; three sisters, Mrs. N. Fodrea of Lincoln, Mrs. O.R. Shoffer of Pine Bluff, Ark., Mrs. A.R. Graham of Chicago, and two brothers, Frank E. Parker of Kennard, and Kirby R. Parker of Benson.
