Fred Boyer Dead.

After a lingering illness of two or three weeks Fred Boyer died at his home in this city at 7:30 o’clock last evening. He had for sometime before he was taken sick worked down at the river and on one occasion in lifting a heavy log, seemed to strain himself across the breast. Soon after this he was confined to his bed and it has been difficult for the doctors to correctly diagnose his case. During his sickness he had no appetite and slowly became weaker until death relieved his suffering. During the last hours of his life he was partially unconscious. Fred was a member in good standing of the Garfield Lodge K.of P., which order he joined May 21, 1894. He was born in Pennsylvania and was a man about thirty-five years of age. He leaves a mother and two brothers to mourn his loss. Fred was a hard working, honest, upright boy, and although he had faced many misfortunes and had almost all his life been surrounded by various difficulties, he bore up bravely and at the time he was taken sick seemed to have a good prospect before him. The remains will be laid to their last resting place from the Baptist church tomorrow afternoon at two o’clock, under the auspices of K. of P. Lodge. Rev. Greene, the Baptist minister will conduct the exercises at the church.
