Betty Ann Peck age 90, of Hooper, died Monday, February 21, 2022 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont

Betty was born August 10, 1931 in Lyons, Nebraska to Walter and Dorothy (Kempke) Ash. She grew up in rural Lyons and graduated from Lyons High School. She worked for the Lyons Telephone Company after graduation and married William Dean Peck on October 30, 1949.

Betty was a faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church in Hooper for many years and was involved in several church activities. She also enjoyed playing bridge, water aerobics, volunteering at the hospital in Fremont, and spending time with her family.

Survivors:Son - Randall Peck of Fremont; Daughters - Carol (Neal) Johnson of Hooper,Julie (Lee) Schuppan of Doniphan, NE; Brother - Larry Hayes of Lyons; Sisters - Peggy Goetsinger of Boone, IA, Karen Hayes, Nancy Hayes,Bonnie Hayes all of Lyons; Pat Maxwell of Webster, WI; Virginia Hemphill of Seward; Sisters-in-law - Colleen Hayes of Oakland,Connie Goings of Lyons,Jeanie Hayes of Republic, MO,Janice Hayes of Dakota City,Joyce Stolley of Fremont,Carla Peck of Blair; Brother-in-law - Mike Stolley of Fremont, 5 grandchildren - Jana Edic, Janene Peck-Margot, Jennifer Samuelson, Alysia Johnson, and Jacob Koester;6 great-grandchildren - Caden Samuelson, Peyton Hansen, Kyler Edic, Elynn Samuelson, Kellan Edic and Elise Margot.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Dean, parents, step-father Robert Hayes, in-laws Harold and Ruth Peck, daughter-in-law Fronja Peck, grandson Seth Johnson. She was also preceded by four brothers Robert Hayes Jr., Richard Hayes, Norman Hayes and Russell Hayes, one sister Marilyn Whitsell, brothers-in-law Keith Peck, Darwin Maxwell, Jim Goetsinger and sister-in-law Bonnie Peck.

The funeral will be 10am, Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Faith United Methodist Church in Hooper. Burial will follow in the Hooper Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church and Camp Fontanelle. Visitation will be Friday from 3pm to 8pm with the family present from 5pm to 7pm at the Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel.
