TIMOTHY J. BUFORD, 42

Services for Timothy J. Buford, 42, of Sioux City, Iowa, who died July 17, 1993, at his residence after a short illness due to cancer, were Tuesday, July 20, at the Cathedral of the Epiphany Church in Sioux City. Revs., Alfred E. McCoy, P. Joseph Nooney and Harold B. Cooper officiated. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery.

Timothy J. Buford was born September 6, 1950, in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Blair High School. He also was an August 1991 graduate of Western Iowa Tech Community College with Associate in Applied Science Degree, a Data Processing Degree, and a May 1992 graduate with a Complete Program Degree.

He married Marianne Nooney November 9, 1979, in Blair, later marring in the Catholic Church May 18, 1984, in Sioux City.

He was raised in Blair and moved to Sioux City September 1982. He had served in the United States Marine Corp. At the time of his death he was a salesman for Globe Restaurant Supply Co.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Elsie and Fred Steffen, two brothers, Mike Steffen and Jeff Steffen; his grandmother, Rosie Stricklett; and his father-in-law, Robert Nooney.

He is survived by his wife Marianne; four daughters; Linda, Sarah and Mary, all of Sioux City, and Karen of Blair; two step-children, Michael Jensen and Beth Jensen, both of Denver, Colorado; an adopted son and his wife, David and Melinda Nooney of Washington state; a brother and his wife, Russell and Dawn Steffen of Blair; two sisters and their husbands, Janet and Jim Tiffey of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Karen and Roger Batt of Lexington, Nebraska; his mother in law, Mercedes Nooney of Sioux City; a brother-in-law and his wife, Jim and Mary Lou Satterfield of Blair, and grandson, Jeffery John Nooney of Washington state.

Pallbearers were Jim Satterfield, Bill Freese, Gary Sherman, Ed Bhlman, Mike Larson and Homer Woodson.
