WAITE - At her residence two miles west from Blair, on Wednesday morning, May 11, 1881, Mary K., wife of Daniel Waite, aged 64 years.

Mrs. Waite was well and favorably known among a large circle of acquaintances. Born at Lisbon, Conn., and married to Mr. Waite forty years ago, she came with him to Omaha, Neb., in 1863, from which place they moved on to the homestead, where she passed her remaining days, in June, 1868. For the past two years she has been a sufferer from a disease peculiar to females, and has continued, in spite of the best medical skill, to decline gradually. Her suffering has been continuous and at times intense, yet she retained her usual cheerfulness even to the end, though hope had long since fled. She has two children. Mrs. J. W. Newell, an only daughter, has been in attendance at her bedside a considerable portion of the time during her illness. Her only son, Henry, has been absent from home the past ten years, and his whereabouts are unknown. The funeral occurs today at the family residence, and the remains will be interred tin the Blair cemetery.
