The news reaches us of the death of Nels Nelson, whose home was two miles south of Blair, which occurred last Thursday. Mr. Nelson has been on the sick list for the past four years but until last winter was able to be around. Early in the spring he was unable to be around and most of the time since then he has been in bed. Mr. Nelson has reached the ripe age of seventy-two and has lived in Nebraska since 1861. In 1868 he came to this county and homesteaded the place where the family now lives. He leaves a wife and three children- two boys and a girl- to mourn the loss of husband and father. The funeral took place from the house Sunday, Rev. Williams officiating.
