ANDERS CHRISTENSEN OVERGAARD.
Born in Veddum, Denmark, July 22, 1833. Died July 11, 1897. Age 63 years, 11 months and 19 days.
He came to this country in 1869, and settled in Illinois.
He moved to Nebraska in 1871 and settled at Omaha where he lived for four years when he moved to his farm southwest of Kennard where he lived one year.
He was then married to D. Jensen, which union was blessed with two children, one of which is dead.
He moved to Kennard in 1890 where he lived until his death.
He leaves a son A. P. Overgaard and widow Mrs. D. Overgaard.
The sermon was preached by Rev. Rasmusen of Blair in the Danish language, and was followed by a short address in English by Rev. Anderson. The deceased was laid at rest in the Kennard cemetery. A large crowd followed the remains to its last resting place. The coffin was beautifully decorated with roses.
