January 31, 1898- The Pilot- Addie A. (Fox) Illian

Died- Addie A. wife of Wm. A. Illian, at Humphrey, Neb. January 23, 1898, aged 25 years, 5 months, 24 days. Mrs. Illian nee Addie A. Fox was born in Herman Township, Washington Co. Nebr., July 29th 1872, and lived in Washington County all her life until the last few years. October 6th 1897 she was married in Omaha to Mr. Wm. H. Illian of Humphrey Ne. where they have since resided. In early December her health began to fail and a short time before her death she was taken with hemorrhages which caused her sudden death, none but sister Eva being present at the time. Mrs. George Buffington and Grant Fox mother and brother of deceased arrived shortly after she died. George J. Fox was unable to be present being confined to bed with sickness. She was buried Wednesday morning in the Humphrey cemetery followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends. The floral offerings were very beautiful. Her many friends in Washington County will be shocked to learn of her sudden death as no one knew she was sick. It was a terrible blow to the husband and family and they have the deepest sympathy of their friends and neighbors.-(Communicated)
