The 13 year old boy of Nels Jepson was drowned last Sunday afternoon in a creek not far from Kennard. It is not definitely known just how it happened, but a number of boys were in swimming in about four feet of water and the first the boys knew young Jepson was out of sight. They immediately gave the alarm and in about half an hour several parties arrived and found the body on the bottom of the creek. Funeral services were held Monday at Kennard.
