October 23, 1899- The Pilot- Howard B. Stout

The death of Howard B. Stout occurred last Friday afternoon at the home of his sister in Tekamah. When a child, his spine was injured and as a consequence has suffered all his life. The little fellow was a very patient sufferer, not complaining though his body was racked with pain. He has been ill for the past three months but only confined to his bed for six weeks. During his illness he had the constant care of his devoted sister Stella and his brothers, who did all in their power to alleviate his suffering. The deceased was well known in this city, having always lived here until about five years ago when he went to Tekamah with the family. To the bereaved brothers and sisters heartfelt sympathy is extended. The remains were brought to Blair yesterday morning and the funeral services were held in the Episcopal Church, Rev. Young officiating. He was interred in the Blair cemetery by the side of his father and mother.
