J.H. Richards was born in Stafford, Conn., February 27, 1853 and departed this life at the home of Mrs. Will Denny October 22, 1899. He came with his father, the late W.S. Richards, to Nebraska some thirty years ago and has made this county his home until the last four years when he moved to Georgia where he contracted the disease of which he died, being sick only four weeks. In 1882 he married Mrs. Nancy Morris. Six children were born to them, four of whom are living with his wife to mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and father. He also leaves a sister residing in Pender, Nebr. He was well and favorably known all over the county. The funeral will be held in the Methodist Church tomorrow at 2:00 o’clock. All that kind friends and neighbors could do was done to relieve his sufferings.
