Mrs. Earl Dixon died at Stewart Hospital in Omaha at 8:25 yesterday morning following an operation for a tumor on last Thursday morning. She was very ill Saturday and the family was sent for but she rallied and was so much better Sunday morning that they returned home. Yesterday morning she became worse at about 6 o'clock and death resulted at 8:25. The body was brought up last evening and the funeral will be held at the Baptist Church 3:30 tomorrow, Thursday afternoon, Rev. C. M. Foreman officiating.

Effie Steinmyer was born in Whiteside County, Illinois, March 19, 1865, and therefore was just past 52 years of age. She was married to Earl Dixon at Morrison, Illinois, January 1, 1885. They lived there less than a year coming to this city which has been their home ever since.

She is survived by her husband; and nine children as follows, Mrs. Ed Aye of this city, Mrs. Grover Schwinerman of Papillion, Nebraska; Richard is married and lives in Omaha; Mrs. Robert Clarkson of Laramie, Wyoming; Willard who is a barber on the U. S. Arizona now in the Atlantic fleet; Fayme, June, Minnie and Lewis who live at home. All the children are here except Willard and it has been impossible to get word from him.

Mrs. Dixon was yet a young woman though she had raised a large family and it seems too bad she was not permitted to enjoy their hopes and successes for many years yet. The family has the sympathy of the entire community in their greatest grief in death of wife and mother.
