Death of Mrs. Christ Kruger.

After an illness of about two weeks Mrs. Chris Kruger passed away at her home four miles northwest of town, at the advanced age of 70 yrs. The funeral took place on Monday interment being at the Lutheran cemetery. The services were largely attended and were of a very impressive character.

Mrs. Kruger was born in Germany in 1838 and came to Washington County with her husband in 1862 where she has resided ever since. Seven children were born to her, but only three, with the husband survive her. They are: Mrs. Henry Schmidt, Herman and Henry Kruger.

Before coming to Washington County she lived for a time In Quincy, Ill. Mrs. Kruger's long residence 48 years in Washington county caused her to be well and favorably known among the older citizens of the county, but for the past 16 years she has lived a very retired life on the farm which had been her home for so long. Her memory will be long cherished by those who knew her best, and all will unite in extending condolence to the bereaved family, and especially to those who had been her companions through life including as it did the pioneer period in Nebraska history.
