6 Year Old Son of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Cassabaum

Died After Operation.

The 6-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Cassabaum died last Sunday evening, after an operation had been performed by Dr. Hasslem, of Fremont, and was buried from the Lutheran Church Wednesday, Rev. H. Hallerberg, officiating. The little fellow was taken sick last Friday, but Saturday he seemed better and it was not until Sunday noon that alarming symptoms appeared, when Dr. Davies was called, who immediately declared the child to be in a very bad condition and only an operation for appendicitis could save its life. The Fremont doctor was at once summoned and Sunday evening the operation was performed, but the little one survived the ordeal but a few hours. The bereaved parents have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in the sudden death of their son
