The funeral services of Dr. S.B. Taylor occurred from the M.E. church on Monday last, and was so largely attended that many were unable to gain admittance. He was the oldest practicing physician in Blair, and socially no better man than he ever cast their lot in this city. He was widely known, and was highly esteemed for his many noble qualities of mind and heart. He leaves his estimable wife and two devoted daughters in comfortable circumstances, though coming here a poor man. His ailment was dropsy, and though he rallied from the first severe attack his death was inevitable and was no surprise to his friends. He was surrounded by family and immediate friends during his last hours, and his remains were laid away with Masonic honors.
