Clara May Matzen Gehrk Wehrbein died May 15, 2022, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair, she was 93.

Clara May was born on May 22, 1928 to Olevea and Emil Matzen of rural Kennard.

She was preceded in death by her 15 siblings: Victor, Emma, Otto, Herman, Rudolph, Bertha, Alice, George, Ernest, Anton, Clarence, August, Katherine, Louisa and Lucille. Clara’s significant other LaVerne Bohuslavsky died April 15, 2022.

Clara is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held, in conjunction with LaVerne’s visitation, from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2022, at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. There will be a short memorial service at 1:15 p.m. for Clara. There will be a prayer service at 2:30 p.m. for LaVerne followed by military honors.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair.
