Mrs. Henry Brand died at her home south of Fontanelle Friday evening at 8 o’clock following an illness lasting only a few days. Blood poisoning which set in following the birth of a baby girl ten days ago was the cause of her death. Mrs. Brand, who was Miss Winnie Carpenter, was well known in this neighborhood, having lived here all her life. She was married to Henry Brand about fifteen years ago and eight children were born to them all of whom are living.

Funeral services were held from the residence Sunday at 12:30 AND FROM Union church in Fontanelle at 1 o’clock. Burial took place in the old Fontanelle cemetery.
