Thomas Crouch
Died on 12/18/1900

Printed in the Thursday, December 20, 1900 Pilot, Blair, Nebraska (Thomas Crouch)

After an illness of over two years, the death of Thomas Crouch occurred last Tuesday evening of Bright's disease.

Deceased was born in Ohio in 1848. At the age of 19 years he began railroading and with the exception of the time that he was in the milling business in this city, his life was spent in that work.

In 1868 he was married to Miss Minnie A. Bond at Monroe, Iowa, who, with two children, Harry and Miss Bertha, survive the deceased.

Seventeen years ago the family moved to Blair, where Mr. Crouch engaged in the milling business with D.P. Scott, under the firm name of Scott & Crouch.

Mr. Crouch has suffered for over two years from this disease which caused his death, and while life has ebbed low for many days, the news was received with regret by his many friends. He was a man well liked, whole souled in all he did, and an enterprising citizen.

Two brothers, Frank of Marquette, Nebr., and Will of Verdan, Nebr., mourn with the immediate family.

The funeral will take place this afternoon from the residence on Grant street, and will be under the auspices of the Knights Templar, of which he was a member. He was also a member of the O.R.C. Brotherhood. The body will be taken to Davenport, Iowa for cremation.
