FUNERAL SERVICES: Tuesday, June 7 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair at 11am. GRAVESIDE SERVICES will follow at the Blair Cemetery.

Cliff Sutherland, age 91, passed away June 2, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 7, at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair at 11 a.m. Graveside services will follow at the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Cliff was born in Blair on Aug. 29,1930, the son of John and Thelma Sutherland. He was a graduate of Blair High School.

After high school, Cliff began working as a heavy equipment operator, working for S&S Trenching, Howard Anderson Trenching, and Cedar Construction for 22 years before his retirement in 1992. Also, during that time, he owned and operated Sutherland Precast, working along side his sons. Cliff was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #571 Union for 28 years.

Cliff enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his younger years, Cliff enjoyed racing at Sunset Speedway. After his racing days were over, he enjoyed watching NASCAR. Cliff was blessed to have two great loves in his life. On January 13, 1950, Cliff was united in marriage to Lois Lilly Samson. She preceded him in death. On August 27, 1994, he married Beverly K Adamson.

Cliff is survived by his wife Beverly; children Linda (Steve) Benson, Cass Sutherland, John (Deb) Sutherland, Lo-Ann (Dan) Hafits, and Lori (Dana) Switzer; 20 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; siblings Dar Sutherland, Dick (Marlene) Sutherland and Roxanne (Pat) Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lois, and brother John “Burley” Sutherland, Jr.

Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association in Cliff’s name.
