Word was received in Arlington this (Thursday) morning that August Gnuse, an old resident of Fountanelle Township, died Wednesday in an Omaha hospital, where he had been taken for treatment. Mr. Gnuse had been taking treatment at Excelsior Springs, but returned home about two weeks ago, feeling much better.

However, the improvement was but temporary, as he was taken worse and was on his way back to that resort when his case, becoming alarming, he was taken to Omaha hospital, with the result as above stated. The funeral will be held from the Lutheran church at Fontanelle, next Saturday afternoon. Mr. Gnuse was about 60 years old, and had been a resident of this county for a good many years.
