Sam Christensen, 23, of Dodge, passed away June 1, 2022.

He was born on May 25th, 1999, in Omaha, to Rolie and Heather (Olson) Christensen. He graduated from Benson High School in 2017. Sam went to Southeast Community college and studied diesel mechanics in Milford. He then began work with John Deere in Missouri Valley, IA as a diesel mechanic. He was recently working for John Deere in Fremont.

On August 21, 2021, he and Taylor Harms married in Dodge, where they lived on a small acreage. They loved the land and their animals. Sam loved helping his family farm, his own farm that he was building, working with his hands, and tractor pulling.

Sam is survived by his wife Taylor Christensen of Dodge, Mother Heather (Olson) Christensen of Omaha; father- and mother-in-law Bernie and Robyn Harms of Dodge; Brother Kyle (Meghan) Christensen of Woodbine, Iowa; grandparents Susie Christensen of Blair Carla Olson, Tom and Beth Olson of Omaha; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Proceeded in death by father Rolie Christensen, and grandpa Russell M. Christensen. We will all miss him more than words can say.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m June 7, 2022, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, with Fr. Matt Gutowski as celebrant. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a public vigil service at 7:30 p.m., at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge, and will continue one hour prior to the service Tuesday. Minnick Funeral Home in Dodge, is assisting the family.
