Age 73 of Elkhorn, NE. Survivors: son, Jason (Julie) Snell of Omaha; grandchildren: Ryan, Kyle and Evan; sisters: Darlene Westphalen and Rita Thompson; along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Tuesday, June 21, at 10:30am at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair, with GRAVESIDE SERVICES following in the Blair Cemetery. VISITATION: Monday, June 20, with family Receiving friends from 5-7pm at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Ellen M. Thompson, age 73, of Elkhorn, passed away June 16, 2022. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, June 20 with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Ellen was born on Nov. 18, 1948 in Blair, the daughter of Kenneth and Irene Thompson. Ellen was raised on a farm west of Herman and graduated from Herman High School in 1966. Ellen was a longtime employee of Guarantee Mutual Life Insurance Company. In 1970, she was united in marriage to John Snell. To this union, the couple was blessed with their son Jason. Ellen enjoyed gardening, cooking, walking, caring for her dogs, and listening to Elvis; but she especially loved time spent with family. Over the years, Ellen cherished her time spent on the farm growing up, and in later years visiting whenever she could.

Ellen is survived by her son Jason (Julie) Snell of Omaha; grandchildren: Ryan, Kyle and Evan; sisters: Darlene Westphalen and Rita Thompson; along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jon Thompson. Campbell Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
