Funeral Services For Minnie Unkel

Miss Minnie Unkel, who died in the Nebraska State hospital in Lincoln March 22, was buried at Fontanelle in the Unkel family lot in the Lutheran cemetery Friday afternoon. Rev. Wm. Goede conducted the service in the church and a quartet composed of the Misses Martha Hartung, Marthella Strenger, Florence Langhorst and Mrs. Goede sang several appropriate numbers.

Miss Unkel was a native of Germany where she was born in Beutelspach August 17, 1872. In the early eighties she came to Nebraska with her parents who settled in this county. She affiliated with the Lutheran church by the rite of confirmation and attended the public schools in Fontanelle.

She is survived by five brothers and three sisters, who were all in attendance at the funeral. The surviving close relatives are John Unkel, Battle Creek; Christ Unkel, Schuyler; Fred Unkel Omaha; Ernest Unkel, Fremont and Mrs. K. Mollenbeck, Nickerson; Mrs. Louise Sellner and Miss Christina Unkel, Omaha.
