Thomas “Tom” D. Kelley, age 72 of Blair, passed away July 6, 2022 at the VA Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Graveside services will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair. Visitation will be held Friday, July 8 from 5-7 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home with a wake service at 7:00 PM.

Tom was born on September 19, 1949, the son of Walter and Marian (Miller) Kelley. Tom attended school in Blair from kindergarten to the 12th grade.

After graduation, Tom joined the United States Marine Corps and served in active duty for two years.

On November 16, 1968, he was united in marriage to Nancy Dowd, to this union two children were born: Dawn and Patrick.

Tom worked for Red-E-Mix Blair and continued with the company when it was purchased by Arps Red-E-Mix. His last position with them was quality control, which was his dream job, until his MS caused him to retire.

You will never meet a person that was so devoted to family and continued to persevere, never letting his disease dictate his life.

Tom is survived by his wife Nancy; children: Dawn (David) Velasquez and Patrick (Michele) Kelley; six grandchildren: Brett Velasquez (fiancée Nicole Ladehoff) Josh Velasquez, Aubrey Kelley, Lauren Kelley, Whitney Laritson (fiancé Oliver Holbrook), and AJ Laritson.

Memorials may be directed to the National MS Society or St. Jude Children’s Research
