Christianson, DeLane D.

Age 93 of Omaha. Passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022, at Hillcrest Country Cottages in Papillion, NE. He was born on May 21, 1929 in Manning, IA to Jerry and Helen Christianson.

He grew up in Harlan, IA and graduated from Gray High School, Gray, IA in 1947. Delane married Phyllis Jensen on February 18, 1950 in Washington, D.C. He then graduated from San Francisco State College in San Francisco, CA in 1956.

Delane served in the US Army Reserves. He began his career with the FBI in 1948, and his work as an investigator led him to live in various cities in the US. They came to Omaha in 1965 and retired in 1980.

He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Omaha and Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Helen Christianson; son, Ken Christianson; sons-in-law, Mike Minarik and Roy King; and great-grandson, Corbin King.

Delane is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Omaha; daughters, Laurie Minarik and Janet King; sons, Jerry (Mary) Christianson, and Thomas (Kris) Christianson; daughter-in-law, Kris Christianson; brother, James (Anne) Christianson; sisters, Mary Ann Severs and Cynthia Ratey; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

VISITATION will start at 10:30am Friday, July 8, at the All Saints Episcopal Church 93rd & Blondo in Omaha, with the CELEBRATION of LIFE SERVICE beginning at 11am. INTERMENT with Military Honors will be at the Kennard Cemetery, Kennard, NE. Memorials may be donor's choice.
