Mrs. Jesse Burniece Gordon was born at Leigh, Nebraska, on January 9th, 1903 and passed away on October 16th, 1931 at the age of 28 years, 9 months and 8 days, at Platner, Colo.

Her death came as rather a shock owing to the fact that she had not been sick only a short two weeks. While she had been in more or less poor health, yet it was nothing which was believed would lead to her fatal end. Everything was done that medical science could do but to no avail.

She was united in marriage to Hyson Gordon on January 8th, 1923 at Akron, Colo., and lived in that locality until the time of her death.

She leaves to mourn her going, her beloved husband, F. Hyson Gordon and little son Forest, age 6, and little daughter, Joyce, age 3 years Also her parents, M. and Mrs. W. J. Marshall of Arlington, Nebraska together with five sisters, Mrs. A. C. Otte of Elkhorn, Nebr; Mrs. C.C. Hahn, Mis. Otto Grothusen, Mrs. Roy Masters and Miss Fiola Marshall of Arlington, Nebraska, and two brothers, Lee and James Marshall both of Arlington, Nebraska. There were two brothers which preceded her in death.

She was returned from Colorado and funeral services were held in the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Arlington, Monday afternoon, October 19th, at 2 o'clock, Rey. Adrian J. Edgar officiating. Burial was made in the Arlington Cemetery.
