FRANK McMANIGAL VICTIM OF DEATH

LONG-TIME BLAIR RESIDENT, 75, DIED IN HOSPITAL HERE MONDAY.

Frank McManigal, 75, resident of Blair for 62 years, died in Court View hospital Monday after being confined there a week. Formerly an employee of the city, Mr. McManigal had not been working during recent years because of ill health.

Born June 26, 1861, in Scioto county, Ohio, he was the son of A. D. and Virginia McManigal, and came with them to Nebraska in the spring of 1873, settling in Washington county. He had been a resident here since then, with the exception of a time in Oklahoma.

He was married to Mary Compton in Blair July 11, 1887, and the couple had been looking forward to celebrating their golden wedding anniversary this summer. Three children born to the couple preceded Mr. McManigal in death.

Surviving him are his wife, three brothers, Dan of Hamill, South Dakota, J. B. of Brunswick, Nebraska, and J. G. of Walthill, and a sister, Mrs. Noah Taylor of Hamill. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Bryant Howe officiating. Interment was in Blair cemetery.
