August 7, 1913- Arlington Review Herald- Harold McCoy

Harold, the 7 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy McCoy, died at the home of his parents one mile east of Arlington, Saturday afternoon, Aug. 2, the funeral taking place from the Congregational Church at 2 p.m. Monday. Harold had been ailing for several years, but it was not believed that his condition was serious. After dinner on the day of his death, his father took him out to the barn, seemingly quite well. About 4 o’clock he crawled into his mother’s lap, where he remained quiet for a short time, when he suddenly called out “Send for Dr. Davies,” followed soon after by a hemorrhage from the nose, death following in a short time, and before the doctor, who had been hastily summoned, could arrive. The funeral was largely attended, the church being filled to its capacity, Rev. A.T. Davies officiating; interment in Arlington cemetery. In the loss of their darling boy the sorrowing parents have the sympathy of this entire community.
