Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 8 at First United Methodist Church in Blair for Mac "Pat" Allen, 82 who died August 4, 1995 at Blair. Graveside services will be in the Allen Pioneer Memorial Cemetery.

Masonic services were August 7 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Mac "Pat" Allen was born October 11, 1912 in Washington County, the youngest son of C. Scott and Adele McPherson Allen. He grew up in the Fort Calhoun Township in an area settled by his family in the territorial days of Nebraska.

He attended Wranch School and graduated from Blair High School in 1931.

He married Okla L. Boggs May 30, 1938. After their marriage, they made their home in Fort Calhoun where he was co-owner of the Fort Calhoun Oil Company.

In 1939, after his mother's death, he returned to the family farm and resumed a farming career with his father. In 1944, the couple acquired their own farm in Richland Township where they remained until retirement and their move into Blair in 1982.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blair and a 62-year member of the Masonic Lodge No. 10 in Fort Calhoun.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, William, Rollo and John and sisters, Gertrude Merritt, Odile Cary and one who died in infancy.

He is survived by his wife, Okla; a daughter and son-in-law, Merri and Richard Vinton of Blair; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Midge Allen of Klamath Falls, Oregon; grandchildren, Christopher Vinton of Sidney, Nebraska and his fiancee, Paula Penry of Blair; Rebecca Vinton Dorn and her husband, Jerry of Spirit Lake, Iowa; Mellisa Allen Case and her husband, Kelly of Troutdale, Oregon; and Brad Allen of Troutdale; great-grandchildren, Katie Case and Kyler Case, both of Troutdale; a sister-in-law, Mrs. John Allen of Omaha and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the Washington County Historical Society or the Blair Rescue Squad.
