February 19, 1914- Arlington Review Herald- Vernice Edmond Duhigg

Vernice Edmond Duhigg, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Duhigg, passed away on Friday evening, February 13, 1914, aged ten years, 11 months and three days. Vernice was born at Hamburg, Ia., March 1903. He was a very bright and intelligent boy and was always in the best of health until Monday of last week, when he was taken down with the measles and pneumonia set in about Saturday; Dr. Davies was sent for and a nurse provided and everything done that could be done, but he seemed to grow worse and weaker until last Friday, when the Grand Master of the Universe folded the little fellow to His breast, forever to dwell with Him. The remains were taken to the Congregational Church, where Rev. Davies conducted the funeral service, after which the body was interred in the Arlington cemetery. He leaves a father, mother and three sisters to mourn his loss and a vacant place in the home that never can be filled. The Review Herald unites with the entire community in extending sympathy to the bereaved parents.
